# Boston Scientific Cyberattack August 30 Update

Boston Scientific aims to partially restore shipping operations this week as recovery efforts following the cybersecurity incident continue.

August 30 Update: Boston Scientific said it is working to partially restore shipments of some products this week as it continues recovering from a cybersecurity incident that disrupted certain operating systems and business applications.

Based on its latest findings, the company said it has seen no indication of unauthorized activity related to the incident since Aug. 25. Boston Scientific also said its cloud-based systems and applications were not affected and that the unauthorized activity was limited to certain on-premise systems. Its investigation into the network disruption remains ongoing with support from CrowdStrike and other third-party cybersecurity experts.

The company continues to accept orders electronically through EDI and local applications, with orders being placed in a queue for future fulfillment. Boston Scientific said it expects ordering and shipping activity to ramp up to full capacity once restored operations are confirmed to be fully functional, although it did not provide a specific timeline for full restoration.
